Thailand Do's and Don'ts
Thailand Do's and Don'ts (Beach Destinations. e.g. Krabi)
As every country have differing cultures and practices, it is very useful to understand at least some of the basic differences between your country and another, specifically, Thailand's beach destinations. This includes Phi Phi, Krabi, Phuket, Trang, Lanta, Surat Thani and Pang Nga. Thailand has a unique culture that is not so hard to understand. It is good to know these things to ensure that you have a more enjoyable and safer trip in these places.
Patience
It is advised that you practice patience and tolerance especially in restaurants. As Thais usually take pride in the food they prepare, they tend to take a longer time to get your food cooked and served. Having live by the beach and away from city areas, they also have a very relaxed lifestyle so taking order, paying the bill or even giving change may take a little more time then it should have.

Locals Staring
As beach destinations are usually under-commercialized, the locals do not always see tourists roaming around their territory. This is especially so in their village areas where there are little if any tourists at all. So when they see one, especially if you have a different skin color from them, they might start staring at you. But do not worry It is purely and sincerely out of interest, not for malevolent reasons. If you catch one staring at you, smile at them. They will probably smile back or look away in embarrassment out

The Feet and Head

Bargain
Pick up some bargaining skills in this country and it definitely work to your advantage In these beach desitinations, there are various street stalls and night markets where the prices are usually not fixed. The locals can easily identify a tourist (even if you try to blend in with them) so chances are, they will try their luck and jack up the prices of their sales items. Remember to bargain each time, between about 10 to 40% discount. Also, bear in mind that Thais appreciate good manner so smile broadly and humor them
